Annual Stroud Nomination Application

PURPOSE: To recognize individuals, or organizations for long term, or lifelong achievement in the sport of fishing, and/or conservation, and/or environmental causes that benefit the sport of fishing.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Nominees qualify if they have made a significant contribution(s) throughout life or career, to sport fishing, conservation, or environmental causes that directly benefit sport fishing of all types.

 

NOMINEES: The Stroud Award was designed in 2004 to recognize individuals or organizations from outside the Club that meet the Club’s criteria. Club members may also be nominees, and several members have won the Stroud Award. All nominees must be endorsed by two members of the Club. (Click here for a list of past recipients)

 

DUE DATE DEADLINE: All nominee forms must be completed, signed and submitted by November 7, 2022 according to the instructions below.

 

SELECTION PROCEDURE: The selection committee made up of the Club’s current president and the two most recent presidents, or their appointed past president chairman, will screen all nominees for eligibility and select the top five candidates. The winner will be selected by cumulative vote of all Past Presidents.

 

When:  The Award will be presented to the winner at the SDFF Club's Stroud Banquet following the selection process.

 

To Submit a Nomination:  Click on the button below to download the nomination form.  Print out the form, make sure it has been endorsed by two SDFF members, and either

  1. bring it to the program meeting on November 7, 2021, or

  2. scan in the endorsed form and attach it to an email to former club president Jack Duncan, or

  3. send it via US Mail to:
